what the heck was i thinking???
bringing 3 boys to the doctor's on one day. the good thing, ben was with me for the appointment (but he was at class tonight). all 3 received the flu shot. porter had 3 other shots and jonas 1 other shot. jonas freaked out the most. (jonas told the nurse that he would slap her face if she tried to give him a shot.) they were all hot messes tonight. also, gryffie had a splinter that i had to remove. he did not like that- it was the most i have ever heard him scream. jonas came running into the room, wondering what was going on. ahh, what a night. but they all got baths, tylenol, and were in bed by 7:30/8:00pm. and here i am at work, night shift week...

oh, how do you do the night shift after that?? I decided that I take 2 kids to the dr at most. for the reasons you mention above. and preferably caroline is one of the 2 because she isn't traumatized by immunizations yet : )
brave girl...or maybe stupid girl. lol
at least you got it all taken care of at the same time. one night of hell instead of three different ones??? good luck!
lots of love
I feel your pain. That is why i don't bother to work out. A day like that has got to burn at least a weeks worth of calories, right? You are awesome Rach. And may i add to your parent/teacher conf. post that that is unusual to bring your child with you.
Thanks guys! Yeah, it's crazy, thank goodness Ben is here to help. I sleep during the day, so that is the way I handle nights (my job is pretty low stress).
FUN FACT: My dad bread dogs when I was kid, and when I got a splinter he sprayed it with the stuff you spray your dog with when you remove crude from their paws. It was almost a local anesthetic, that worked wonders.
Of course, my parents also named me Colt, because you give dogs one syllable names so they learn it faster, and know when you are addressing them. Some parents go to Dr. Spock mine went with Dr. Doolittle.
